'OSHO SINGLE': This is a short audio talk by Osho, selected from one of the many series of Osho Talks to listeners from around the world. Looking around, following the world news, what do you see? Austerity, unemployment, asylum seekers, refugee camps, police brutality¿. Everywhere there is misery and suffering. Why? Osho offers his insight and his solution. Osho argues that from childhood we are conditioned to believe that happiness lies somewhere in the future¿that we will be happy when we have more money, greater success, a bigger home, more recognition, or something else we believe we are missing. This endless pursuit of "more" creates ambition, comparison, and dissatisfaction, keeping happiness perpetually out of reach. Happiness, Osho suggests, is not something to be achieved. It is already present within us, here and now. The challenge is to recognize and reclaim it rather than allowing social conditioning and future-oriented ambition to obscure it. In this provocative talk, Osho examines how society, comparison, ambition, and the constant pursuit of more can become sources of misery¿and offers a radically different perspective on what it means to be truly happy.
