Roxie jokingly wishes to star in her favourite author's next romance novel. Instead, she lands in a crime thriller and becomes the target of a knife-wielding would-be killer. Desperate to survive a genre she's never read, she recruits Grant Hoffman, an anxious English professor and crime-fiction fan. Together they must navigate a chaotic story where fiction and reality blur - and hope to reach The End alive.
